The artist...

José Ianardi considers himself a self-taught artist. He became interested in painting at a young age attracted by the colors and beauty of the environment that surrounded his life in the family house. A home located among vineyards, gardens and arbors, near the Cacique Guaymallén Channel in Vistalba, where the legendary Viamonte Street ends.

Later, he attended the studio of the Círculo Médico de Mendoza, directed by Professor Fanny Avila, where he improved his painting techniques. And over the last decade, he had classes with the artist Horacio Gili.

His first group exhibition was in 1985 and since then he has done works and exhibitions across the country and abroad.

His work generally reflects the love of this artist for nature. His work, full of light and color, make feel nostalgic all those who recognize in them a familiar place.

Each of his paintings are also a way of helping to become known the landscape and culture of Mendoza, based on the tireless work of many men and women from this land.

José Ianardi has been awarded with many awards and mentions. Some of his works can be found in private collections in Chile, Brazil, New York, Italy and other places in our country.
